Latch is seeking a talented Head of Security to lead all of our security initiatives across the company. From the beginning, we have built security into the foundation of all of our products, and we are looking to continually push the security standards of our industry. This role will be responsible for all security related initiatives at Latch from the hardware security of our devices, the security of our cloud infrastructure, and our corporate infrastructure. A successful individual in this role will be able to look at the security landscape to prepare us for future threats, and translate those needs down to the smallest of details, while managing to help us accelerate the introduction of new products and technologies.

Responsibilities

Use your knowledge of the threat landscape to implement features, policies and controls to protect the security and privacy of our users and customers
Build a security risk management process to constantly evaluate and address the most serious threats to the organization
Ensure we are compliant with all relevant product and information security standards such as SOC2, ISO27000, CCPA, etc.
Build and maintain the security tooling to have a real time understanding of our environment
Define the policies for how Latch considers security in all aspects of its operations.
Publicly advocate for the security of our products and services
Support the development of industry standards with the needs of our customers in mind.
Develop the processes to allow the rapid deployment of new products and services, while ensuring our security posture is ever improving
Be able to survey the risk landscape, and translate that to the lowest level of details in our products and services
Secure our corporate infrastructure, offices, and PE
Build a threat resilient and aware organization from engineering, to sales, to customer support

Qualifications

15+ years of experience in the security industry
10+ years of experience as a security leader
Experience with securing software, firmware, and hardware products as well as experiencing securing supply chains, and external facing teams (ie Customer Support)
Experience with wireless communication protocols such as NFC, ZigBee, Bluetooth, WiFi
